Who is behind Embedded Faith?
In my mid-twenties, I experienced an encounter with the Lord that left me searching for where I was to plant my roots of newly discovered faith. After exploring other traditions, I finally found the Catholic Church and was fully initiated into the Church at the Easter Vigil. Widowed young and suddenly a single mother, I continue to turn to my faith which is my source of strength and courage.
The world has changed a great deal since my early faith encounters. Social Media has revolutionized how our faith can be shared. Even if you are not as familiar with using social media there is still time to learn! I firmly believe no matter what your training or background you, too, can learn the latest technology and be a part of this digital mission field.
Each of us is called to be a witness to our faith and to share Christ with others. This is (the new) evangelization. I draw inspiration from my fellow digital missionaries that are a part of forming this "embedded faith."
'He does not call the qualified, He qualifies the called.' And by our baptism we are all called.
